Throughout my time at the award-winning Escape Game company Sherlocked, I created a mega-game for over 100 people as well as a River Boat Quest to play on the Amstel River.
Diaries of Aletta Jacobs
“Diaries of Aletta Jacobs” is a boat quest that can be played on the Amstel river. The players must navigate their boat to six different landmarks along the river and search for the solution to a question. Once all words have been found, the player can deduce where Aletta Jacobs left to after her stay in Amsterdam!

Mega Game for Anva
For the 50th anniversary of the ANVA company, we were hired to design a mega game for over 100 people. I concepted the puzzles, produced and purchased the components and co-hosted the event.
The idea for the game was to divide the players into groups of 4 and giving each group a box with a puzzle inside. From that puzzle, they would then receive a letter as a solution. All groups with the same - coloured boxes would then come together to form a word. Finally, all words arranged in the correct order would form a sentence (We placed hints as to where the boxes would have to be placed on a grid).
I concepted three different puzzle types for the boxes. The above image shows their distribution.
Xylophone Puzzle
In this puzzle, players received a xylophone as well as a sheet of paper with a QR code, which took them to a song. With the coloured keys of the xylophone, they had to re-create the music heard and follow the colouring of the keys to the correct letter.
Out of the Box Puzzle
For this game, players had to look around the event room and spot words with certain letters in them. The position of a certain letter in the word gave them their solution.
Piggy Bank Puzzle
For this game, players had to smash a piggy bank with a hammer to find some puzzle pieces inside. These had to be put together to form a maze, which then led players to the correct letter. I made the puzzle pieces out of wood using a laser cutter.
