"Astrohaunt" is a top-down shooter where players hunt and capture ghosts to unlock unique abilities. Choose your powers wisely as you aim to clear the most floors in a haunted mansion that's been blasted into space.

Design Documentation

I set up the Game Design Document, defining the game´s core structure and mechanics. I kept it updated throughout the course of the development cycle.

I was also responsible for the Level Design Guide.

Level Sketching and Blockout

I was responsible for creating one floor of the mansion. Before blocking out the level, I created a one pager that showed where ghost encounters, powerups and obstacles would be located.

Playtesting the Game

I playtested the game with various players and recorded their feedback in Excel sheets.

Working in a multi-disciplinary team was a new situation for all of us, which led to difficulties throughout the production. Below is a self-reflection on my performance.
